Bio
Maria Frazier has dedicated her career to leveling the playing field for young men and women of color to access their power via strategic high performance programming.
Born and raised in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and educated by the public-school system, Maria has learned how to transform obstacle into opportunity. She has created and spearheaded multiple comprehensive, and lasting programs, culture, curriculum and initiatives for the National Urban League, Urban Dove Charter Management, TEAM Charter School, The After-School Corporation and the YMCA. She holds multiple leadership positions, and is an integral force in organizational success.
Maria’s professional experience affords her tremendous skill and insight into the complexities of youth development in urban areas. She uses her superpower to bolster communities that serve them. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child Studies from the City University of New York, and her Non-Profit Management Certification from Columbia University. She lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her family.
